The client / the project

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Medior Manual Software Tester to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our IT systems. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing test cases, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating closely with development teams to deliver high-quality software.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test suites for various software components, with a strong focus on backend testing and REST APIs.
• Perform functional, regression, and other types of testing as required.
• Analyze test results, identify and document defects, and track them through resolution.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to understand requirements, identify potential issues, and ensure timely resolution of defects.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design reviews, and release planning.
• Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
• Utilize test management tools effectively (Jira Xray preferred, but other tools are acceptable too).
• Work effectively within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Leverage Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) for project tracking, documentation, and collaboration.
• Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, within a multicultural and multilingual team environment.
• Proactively identify and address potential risks and issues.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

Technologies / Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in manual testing of IT systems, with a strong emphasis on backend testing and REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (functional testing, regression testing, etc.).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive and independent work ethic with a strong sense of ownership.
• Experience with test management tools (Jira Xray preferred, but other tools are acceptable).
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum framework.
• Proficiency in using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
