Responsibilities

  • Design a comprehensive testing strategy for migration, covering data transfer testing, integration testing, and operational testing of the new system. Ensure all migrated data is accurate and that the new system operates seamlessly.
  • Verify the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of data during the migration process, including the validation of data types, formats, and structures.
  • Ensure that the new system integrates smoothly with existing systems, databases, external platforms, and software applications, guaranteeing full compatibility.
  • Test all banking workflows and transaction types to ensure uninterrupted functionality during and after the migration.
  • Evaluate the performance of the updated system infrastructure to ensure it can handle expected workloads, high transaction volumes, and heavy data traffic.
  • Identify, document, and prioritize issues that arise during migration, such as data loss, incorrect conversion, or faulty integrations, and work to resolve them promptly.
  • Develop and test rollback plans to guarantee the ability to restore the system to its original state if required during the migration process.
  • Act as a central point of communication between developers, data handlers, business representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth execution of testing activities.
  • Prepare detailed reports on the status of testing phases, issues encountered, resolutions, and overall outcomes. Maintain thorough documentation to serve as a reference for subsequent project phases and confirm the success of the migration.

Technologies / Skills

  • Over 5 years of experience in software testing, including at least 3 years as a Test Manager, particularly in banking or financial services migration projects.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of data migration processes, integration testing, and performance testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with rollback strategies and risk mitigation in complex projects.

Advantages
