The client / the project

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to contribute to our partner's ongoing product development and testing efforts.

This platform is the most advanced visualization one on the market which provides access to radiologists to state-of-the-art 2D-3D advanced visualization applications, allows diagnostic medical image review, collaboration among physicians, and gives processing capabilities into the routine workflow.

Day-to-day activities include closely working with product owners and developers to understand requirements and the solutions to those requirements, participating in activities across the testing related lifecycle of software development including use case analysis, test framework development and maintenance, test case development and maintenance, test execution and results evaluation, defect administration, support investigation and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owner, Developers, Security experts, and other cross functional team leads to assure product quality.
• Define Test Strategy for complex problems.
• Own and improve the test plans and automation tests.
• Develop and maintain automated tests.
• Ensure that relevant software documentation is kept up-to-date.
• Apply principles of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Technologies / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
• 2-3 years of experience in manual and / or automatic software testing.
• Good understanding of software testing principles and practices.
• User-level Linux/Unix experience.
• Attention to details, including code quality, testability, maintainability and documentation aspects.
• Good knowledge of at least one automated testing framework and its toolchain (preferably JBehave/Java).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Proactive and positive attitude.
• Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts.

Advantages

• ISTQB Foundation Level certificate or higher is a plus.
• Demonstrated awareness about industry standards and trends.
• Experience in international / remote / multinational / agile working environment.
• Experience in working in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
• Experience with JAVA, Selenium, JBehave, Playwright.
• Experience with containerization (docker, kubernetes), micro-services, rest and cloud technologies, CI/CD and Test Automation.
• Experience in the medical or any other regulated software industry.
• Experience with performance and reliability testing and / or optimization.
