The client / the project

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master for our patrner's Budapest office who is passionate about supporting agile teams and facilitating software development processes in the global trading & risk management domain. The role aims to assist IT teams in the digital transformation of the commercial business, with a strong focus on consistently applying agile values and frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate one or more agile teams within the trading domain (e.g., commodity trading, market risk, analytics)
  • Moderate Scrum events (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives)
  • Coach and support the team in adopting agile values, practices, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and technical leads on backlog management and optimizing the development process
  • Identify and remove impediments, working effectively with relevant business and IT stakeholders
  • Increase agile maturity within the team and across the organization, including within SAFe or other scaled agile frameworks
  • Actively participate in the trading IT agile community and share best practices

Technologies / Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role in a multinational or complex IT environment
  • In-depth knowledge of agile frameworks (e.g., ADO board, Scrum, Kanban; SAFe, LeSS are a plus)
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with an empathetic and proactive approach
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken

Advantages

  • Completed higher education (preferably in IT, economics, or engineering)
  • Experience in the development of commercial or financial systems/trading environments is an advantage
