Responsibilities

  • Development of data pipelines
  • Participation in design and planning
  • Consultation with technical experts
  • Ensuring code quality, testing, bug fixing, and documentation
  • Active participation in an Agile team

Technologies / Skills

  • Professional working proficiency in English (spoken and written)
  • Routine use of Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Python, SQL, PySpark knowledge
  • ETL concepts
  • Data transformation using Python or Spark
  • Data merging strategies (incremental load, SCD, snapshot, etc.)
  • File formats / Schemas: Parquet, JSONSchema, Schema Registry, schema validation
  • IaC / CI/CD: Terraform (Terragrunt), Git, GitLab
  • Containerization: k8 or Docker
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, experience with CRUD operations
  • AWS Services: Previous experience with services related to data pipelines, Storage: S3,
  • Processing: Glue, Lambda, EMR, Batch Databases: RDS (PostgreSQL), Redshift, DynamoDB, etc.
  • Messaging: SNS / SQS API: API Gateway (resources, integrations)
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, etc.
  • Analyzing pipeline logs, debugging
  • Unit testing and data quality checks within pipeline steps
  • Experience with streaming solutions (e.g. Kafka or Kinesis)
  • Processing streamed data: Flink, Kinesis Data Analytics
