The client / the project

We are looking for a Secure by Design Expert to join our team and play a key role in ensuring that security is embedded into the design and implementation of our partner's cloud infrastructure and solutions.
In this role, you will provide expert guidance, shape security architectures, and support both business and IT projects in meeting security and compliance requirements on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will collaborate with stakeholders across business, network, and IT, ensuring that security is built into every stage of the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Secure-by-Design expert, providing guidance and best practices to ensure that all projects are designed and implemented with security as a top priority.
• Participate in project planning and design, providing input on security requirements and making recommendations for secure project delivery.
• Ensure that all projects are aligned with industry-standard security and compliance requirements, and company policies.
• Provide regular progress reports, documenting any security-related issues and making recommendations for resolution.
• Develop and maintain security-related project documentation, including security requirements, security designs, and test plans.
• Provide training and support to project teams on secure development and delivery methodologies.
• Develop secure systems and networks that meet organizational and regulatory guidelines.
• Identify security risks and gaps in IT systems to create a risk management plan.
• Evaluate security architecture plans and recommending improvements.
• Following best practices in secure configuration management.
• Documenting information security systems and updates to procedures.

Technologies / Skills

• Proven experience as a Secure-by-Design expert, with focus on Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of GCP services.
• Expertise in cloud security best practices, including IAM design, network security, encryption, key management, and compliance frameworks.
• Solid understanding of risk management, security architecture, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong project management skills; ability to drive initiatives independently.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Advantages

• GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer or Architect certification.
• Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud security (AWS, Azure alongside GCP).
• Previous experience in consulting or enterprise-scale cloud migration projects.
