The client / the project

We are seeking a skilled Development Lead with extensive experience in the MS Azure Cloud platform to oversee a small team of data engineers. The Development Lead will play a crucial role in our partner's cloud migration process, ensuring the successful transition of our on-premise solutions to the cloud. This role involves understanding existing business logics, guiding the implementation based on a given architectural design of the new system, and enhancing it with custom functionalities and third-party tool integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers in the cloud migration process.
• Understand and analyze current on-premise solutions and business logics.
• Design and implement the architectural framework for the new cloud-based system.
• Suggest appropriate tools, methods, and best practices for the migration.
• Oversee the enhancement of the system with custom functionalities and third-party tool integrations.
• Ensure the team follows CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps and maintains high standards of code quality and performance.

Technologies / Skills

• At least 5-7 years of active technical experience with the Azure stack.
• Proficiency in reading and writing complex SQL queries and procedures.
• Strong programming skills in Python or C#.
• Experience with streaming technologies such as Event Hub, Kafka, and Stream Analytics.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Function App, CI/CD pipelines, Azure monitoring, and log customization.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
