Responsibilities

  • Build and install Windows Server Software (2012 – 2019).
  • Maintain Microsoft and VMware infrastructure.
  • System and infrastructure log analyses.
  • Potential issue and/or problem identification and resolution – Level 3.
  • Routine audits of systems and software.
  • Designing server, storage and backup systems.
  • Manage NetApp ONTAP family of storage systems, including Volumes, SVMs…etc. and prepare designs for said systems for streamlining or expanding current infrastructure.
  • Install patches and configuration changes during after-hours and routine maintenance windows.
  • Monitor system performance and health, perform system tuning and optimizations.
  • Develop and draft technical documentation, including preparation and maintenance of standard operating procedures related to the network and/or systems supported.
  • Experience with PowerShell.

Technologies / Skills

  • 3+ years of Windows Server Administration.
  • 5 + years of server hardware experience, physical (blades, towers, and racks) and Virtualized.
  • 3 + years of VMWare administration.
  • 3 + years of backup and recovery (files, systems, bare metal or snap).
  • 3+ years of on hands experience with storage systems, mainly NetApp ONTAP family.
  • Server experience (Windows, Linux), optional backup (CommVault).
  • Years of IT experience required: 5-8 years.
  • Fluent English written and verbal skills.
