The client / the project

The project focuses on migrating an existing system from an Informix database to an Oracle or MS SQL environment while converting Informix 4GL programs into Java. This transition aims to maintain the original database structure, program logic, and business processes without significant changes. The goal is to ensure seamless functionality and minimal interface modifications, only adjusting where necessary for technical compatibility with the new Java-based system. This follows a "Lift and Shift" migration approach, prioritizing stability and continuity.
We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer who is responsible for designing and setting up an automated testing environment in line with the testing strategy. This role includes designing, developing, executing automated test scripts, and analyzing test results.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain an automated testing environment.
• Develop automated test scripts.
• Create and enhance automated test scripts using Katalon Studio.
• Develop a customized test automation framework for thick client testing.
• Prepare test data from logs (application, database) for automated tests.
• Execute automated test cases and analyze results.
• Plan, prepare, and conduct performance testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues.

Technologies / Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in testing and/or test automation.
• Experience in testing within a banking environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• Experience in setting up and managing test automation environments.
• Java programming (developer-level expertise).
• UNIX Shell scripting.
