Responsibilities

  • The candidate is expected to learn/understand the capabilities of the monitoring tools available, to gather the monitoring needs of customers, to develop monitoring requirements that can be met with the existing tools, and to implement and test those requirements..
  • The team is working in Scrum Agile with planned sprints.
  • Collaborate with other analysts/developers and architects to design new and modify existing components of monitoring applications.
  • Coordinate with other engineers to evolve, employ, and enforce our architecture standards and guidelines.
  • Perform functional analysis and provide work estimates for proposed changes.
  • Learn and apply new strategies and industry practices in IT monitoring.

Technologies / Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in the below skillsets.
  • Monitoring tools and concepts (e.g. synthetic monitoring, application performance monitoring).
  • Preferably Datadog product knowledge at consulting expert level (competitors of Datadog will also play (e.g. Dynatrace, AppDynamics) as the knowledge of modern monitoring tools is portable).
  • Understanding application architecture, cloud/on-premise hybrid systems.
  • Background in some of the coding/scripting languages: infrastructure as a code, powershell, Puppet, Ansible, Splunk query language, Python, JavaScript.
