The client / the project

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Atlassian JIRA and Confluence consultant to take a leading role in configuring, administering, and optimizing our Atlassian ecosystem. A key responsibility will be the successful implementation and further development of BigPicture to support both waterfall and agile methodologies within a unified project management framework. By implementing best practices and streamlining processes, the consultant will contribute to more efficient, transparent, and collaborative project execution across the organization.

Responsibilities

• BigPicture Implementation and Optimization:
• Introduce, customize, and fine-tune BigPicture to enable unified management of waterfall and agile projects.
• Integrate BigPicture into the JIRA Cloud environment for seamless planning, tracking, and reporting.
• JIRA and Confluence Administration:
• Configure and maintain JIRA and Confluence in a cloud environment to ensure high availability and performance.
• Set up custom fields, workflows, automations, and security settings (groups, permissions, roles) based on organizational needs.
• Collaboration with Multiple Teams:
• Work closely with stakeholders to transform requirements into effective JIRA and Confluence solutions.
• Create tailored dashboards and reports to improve transparency across processes affecting multiple teams.
• Hybrid Project Management Support:
• Support the use of JIRA and BigPicture in both waterfall (Waterfall) and agile (Scrum, SAFe) projects.
• Ensure continuous monitoring and reporting.
• Training and Support:
• Provide training and documentation to team members to help them effectively use JIRA, Confluence, and BigPicture.
• Coordinate activities that promote best practices for project management and tool usage.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
• Document all configurations, workflows, and procedures to maintain a reliable knowledge base.
• Present new features, updates, and methods to foster organizational development.
• Duration: Minimum of 20 hours per week, including at least 8 onsite hours in Törökbálint.

Technologies / Skills

• Proven Consulting Experience: Successful track record as an Atlassian JIRA and Confluence consultant in a cloud environment.
• BigPicture Expertise: Hands-on experience with implementing, configuring, and managing BigPicture in JIRA Cloud, particularly for combined waterfall and agile methodologies.
• Project Management Knowledge: Strong familiarity with enterprise development processes, including agile, Scrum, SAFe, and traditional waterfall methodologies, along with examples of hybrid applications.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in setting up JIRA workflows, custom fields, schemes, automations, and Confluence integrations.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Effective in addressing issues and proposing solutions that enhance productivity.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate with various teams, gather requirements, and train users.
• Relevant Education or Experience: A higher education degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
