The client / the project

Salesforce manual tester is responsible for testing Salesforce applications, ensuring that they function optimally and meet business requirements. This role involves close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to validate Salesforce solutions, preparing test cases, identify defects, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manual Testing of Salesforce Applications: Design, create, and execute test cases for Salesforce-based systems to ensure they meet business and functional requirements.

Requirements Analysis: Work closely with business analysts and development teams to understand the functional requirements and translate them into test scenarios and cases.
  • Defect Identification and Reporting: Log and track defects in a defect management tool (e.g., JIRA) and work with the development team to resolve issues.
  • Regression Testing: Perform regression testing on modified or updated Salesforce components to ensure that new changes do not negatively affect existing functionality.
  • End-to-End Testing: Conduct end-to-end testing of Salesforce workflows, integrations, and data processes, ensuring all components function seamlessly.
  • Test Documentation: Develop and maintain test plans, test scripts, and test data for various Salesforce modules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business analysts, to ensure timely and high-quality releases.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support: Assist in the UAT process by providing testing support, defect validation, and helping business users with testing procedures.
  • Test Environment Management: Ensure the test environment is correctly configured for Salesforce testing, including necessary data and user setups.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives, contributing to testing best practices, automation possibilities, and quality improvement in the Salesforce ecosystem.

Technologies / Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in manual testing with a focus on Salesforce applications.
  • ISTQB Certificate is a relevant advantage
  • Knowledge of Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.) and its key features, including validation rules, workflows, and approval processes is a huge advantage
  • Proficiency in defect tracking tools such as JIRA or similar platforms.
  • Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation and testing purposes.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce data management tools (e.g., Data Loader, Workbench) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Testing Methodologies: Strong understanding of software testing methodologies such as functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail in identifying and reporting issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document test results and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Salesforce environment.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience working in a CI/CD environment, with exposure to test automation tools.
