The client / the project

The Lead Data Architect will work closely with other architects, subject matter experts (SMEs), product owners, data engineers and developers to design enterprise data sets and ensure data architecture is aligned with enterprise data principles and standards . The Lead Data Architect also compiles business requirements into data requirements . Aligns architecture direction and solutions with business and IT strategies. Creates contextual, conceptual, logical and physical data models.

Responsibilities

  • Focused on specific business capability areas, data domains.
  • Describes structure of data assets.
  • Drives delivery of data artifacts and deliverables (e.g. data reference architectures, data models, data structures for business data domains, etc.).
  • Ensures product/solution in a broad capability area is aligned with data practices through Data Architecture Assessments.
  • Willingness to travel abroad to work with subject matter experts working in the field to understand business processes, challenges, and needs.
  • Self-starter, takes initiative, and is able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical ownership.
  • Flexible 1 day of on-site work in Budapest XIII, and expected to timely and physically present on meetings when required, typically during project onboarding which is the first one or two months after starting.
  • Expected to adhere to specific agile cadence and project attendance requirements, e. g. Periodic project meetings, workshop and agile ceremonies that may span multiple timezones, e. g. Central Time, Brasilia Time, Central European Time or Indochina Time.

Technologies / Skills

  • Has experience in developing reference data architecture, data modeling (conceptual, logical and physical), data profiling, data quality analysis, building business data glossaries and data catalogs.
  • Has experience in building large-scale batch and/or real-time data pipelines with data processing frameworks in cloud platforms and/or on-premises.
  • Experienced is beneficial of a the following technologies: Snowflake, SAP, AGILE, Azure DevOps Boards, GitHub.
  • Fluent English.
  • Knowledge regarding data governance and master/reference data management programs is beneficial.

  • Experience in creating and maintaining broad capability-level reference data models aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Familiarity with collaborating with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to prioritize data enablement work across capabilities, ensuring alignment with business and technology strategies and roadmaps.
  • Understanding of data-centric strategy development and contributing as a key stakeholder in overall capability data strategy.
  • Ability to align data strategies with both business objectives and IT goals.
  • SAFE Agile framework knowledge.
