The client / the project

Our Company is seeking a skilled IT Security Project Manager to lead and execute cybersecurity projects. We initiate these projects to achieve internal targets, comply with regulations like NIS2, and address audit findings. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful delivery of projects that strengthen our cybersecurity posture.

Role Overview:

The IT Security Project Manager will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure. This includes managing resources, timelines, budgets, and stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the defined objectives. A strong understanding of IT security principles and practices is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets. Develop detailed project plans and track progress.
  • Project Execution: Manage project tasks, resources, and dependencies. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Develop contingency plans.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including management, IT teams, and auditors. Provide regular project updates.
  • Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure projects align with relevant regulations (e.g., NIS2) and internal policies. Address audit findings and implement necessary changes.
  • Budget Management: Track project expenses and ensure projects are delivered within budget.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, including contract negotiation and performance monitoring.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular project reports and present them to management.

Technologies / Skills

  • Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, ideally with a focus on cybersecurity projects.
  • Strong understanding of IT security principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, NIS2).
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • PMP or other relevant project management certifications preferred.
